So over the last few weeks (since the new year) I’ve been spending a fairly large amount of time working on electronics. I have a few images I want to post of the kind of work I’m doing but I can’t easily upload these images because I don’t have an decent back end support hooked up for attaching images to these posts.
Until now. I just finished a preliminary hack at adding images to posts using the carrierwave gem and the mini_magick gem. This post is mostly a test of that functionality. I haven’t styled the images yet, nor have I hooked up the rest of the things I need to have these images display correctly. That will come in time.
Another change to the site is the top art. It was using processing.js to do some funky and simple image masking on hover. And it ate CPU like a dog so I removed it. I haven’t put back the old stuff yet since that is also a work in progress and I still need to test somethings out before I turn it back on.
Once I get a bit more on the image upload stuff completed then I can post a bunch of stuff I’ve done in electronics. For now, here’s a cat picture, the optimal test of anything on the internet… Sourcesless because that is also how the internet works…
