So I just finished updating all of the stylesheets for this page to use Sass. I’ve been using it pretty much non-stop at work over the past month or so. With new fluidity in using it and getting this environment a LOT easier to work in with capistrano, rubymine, and a much much better understanding of Ruby on Rails, I’m pretty happy with the way this is moving forward.
I’ve even started a new project here which you can see the brief start of at the top of the page. The goal is to replace the art at the top of the page with a canvas with drawn art instead of the image that is currently there. The red line that grows when you reload this site is the start of new things! Even if it isn’t very cool right now, I have some very fun ideas I would like to see up there. Everything from games to interactive art.
I’m also starting to work on a large cross section of other projects now that I’ve found my feet with Rails and deployments. I’ve finally wrangled all of my domain names into my server configuration and have paired them all with a Rails application in Github.
Getting your environment set up for development is just like getting your music equipment set up for making music. Once you hit a level of watershed, everything gets much easier and much more fun.
I feel like I’m finally past that point.
Perhaps it’s a nodal point? Perhaps this is…
