Along with my LEGO collection, I also dug out my old netbook! The plan had always been to use it as a DJ tool but that failed pretty quick and I never found a decent use for it afterwards. However, now that I’ve been minimizing my computer collection, I’ve run in to issues using VM’s for everything.

So, I loaded Kali linux on the thing and it worked right out of the gate!

The next thing was to get the original xbox controller I hacked a USB port on to working under linux. No problems there either!

The final step was to get the Crazyflie back in the air. And that all went without any issues too.

Sometimes, a hardware machine is just what you need.

Now if only I could get the Kinect hooked up I could start working towards an autonomous drone…
